Ethics and policy

The mission of AMP is to develop leaders in clinical, academic, and community medicine through active recruitment, career development, mentorship, social opportunities and community outreach geared towards underrepresented faculty, house staff, and medical students at UPHS, CHOP, and the Perelman School of Medicine. Dr. Iris Reyes provides faculty leadership for AMP.

The Center is a group of faculty and students from departments spanning the Schools of Arts and Sciences, Medicine, Law, Wharton and Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania, whose work addresses the ethical, legal and social implications of neuroscience.

FOCUS provides programs that simultaneously promote women’s health research, enhance medical faculty professional development and aim to create an institutional culture that foster a more diverse faculty at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania.

Provides opportunities for students to gain practical experience in the field of health law and policy.

The mission of OID is to strengthen the quality of education, and to produce innovative research and models of healthcare delivery by fostering a vibrant inclusive environment and fully embracing diversity.

The Division of Medical Ethics aims to improve patient care, medical sciences, and health care policy through outstanding bioethics scholarship and the training of the next generation of bioethics scholars. With strengths in research ethics, neuro- and mental health ethics, global bioethics and the ethics of health care policy, it is among the leading centers of bioethics scholarship in the world.

IDEAL MEd supports the educational mission of the Perelman School of Medicine by promoting an inclusive, welcoming, supportive and socially engaged medical student community, while cultivating an equitable student experience.   

The mission IDARE is to create and sustain a diverse, inclusive, and antiracist culture that ensures equitable treatment of patients and of all members of the department of Neurology at the University of Pennsylvania.
